Event Horizon 2018 was the signature event for the global blockchain community in the Energy sector.
Informing about the new technology, creating a community and boosting the businesses in the sector were overlying goals.
In order to reach these goals a playful environment, an interactive “theme park” was created.

A platform and device independent “narrative information database” was invented using technologies that usually are only used for logistic processes.
Dramaturgical storytelling, interaction and individual experience were crafted with unique technological media inventions before, during and after the event.
Story driven personal fun facts were gathered before the event with a newly designed online interaction allowing to gather subliminal underlying personal data.
During the event NFC-chip driven experiences could be triggered interactively in various stations with a personalized badge.
A huge welcome screen served as a “Herold” greeting new visitors personally in their mother tongue and displayed live-participant data as real-time ticker news.
All photographs taken by the “official photographer” were automatically tagged and matched with other guests and immediately displayed on the easy to use “personal navigator”- platform. 49% of all guests have been tagged.
The personalized navigator, a web based platform, was replacing an event app and served as guide and key to all interactive features. The engagement of the guests was boosted to 75,5 page views per participant.
AR world novelty.
Even a world novelty was implemented:“Augmented reality-signposts” that showed personalized directions to scheduled and upcoming timed happenings.
A video station with branded live-keyed backgrounds was also a well received feature.
This all was interconnected in a giant networked experience-database and generated a personalized live generated newspaper.
On 4 pages and 16 individual live-data triggered articles - hogwarts style - individuals could read about themselves and stay updated about the event.
A Relax and mood-meeting room set in personalized travel destinations and environments could be activated with the interaction badge. These were also magically fabricated from the precollected data.
A Matchmaking and connecting tool was used actively by 53% of visitors.
Matching details and statistical fun facts displayed on a large matchmaking screen helped participants to break the ice.
Even the exhibition area was designed as blockchain theme park. Exhibitiors could interact directly with the passers-by with a complete paperless lead generation via NFC chips. The personal “navigator” also gave the opportunity to interact with the stage. Voting and Q+A were possible wherever and whenever. Device platform independent.
Together with the innovative and interactive concept, EventHorizon has already established itself in its second edition as a pioneer for international technology conferences.
